After a brief break to recharge our batteries (and our livers) we’re heading BACK to the crazy world of Dorchester Cider Festival on Saturday 16th August.

The scene of some epic Skimmity Hitchers gigs over the last decade, Dorchester Cider Festival is an event like no other.

Thousands of people gather in the Victorian splendour of Borough Gardens for a whole day of cider-drinkin’ and live music on 2 stages. It’s free entry and attracts anyone and everyone in the locality. It’s basically Dorset’s version of Woodstock, but with more nutters and bigger hangovers.

You can sample ciders from some of the best producers in the area, including some of our favourites such as Cranborne Chase, Dorset Nectar and (ahem) Dickie’s Dribble.

Better still, the event raises thousands of pounds for local causes through donations and cider sales. So you are completely absolved of all blame when you wake up the following afternoon, naked and soiled…
