Real ale and cider festival, live music, as well as the legendary stinging nettle eating and growing competitions.

SKIMMITY HITCHERS will headline the Friday night 19th June, kicking off the summer solstice weekend in scrumpy style.
“Rising from the cider soaked floors of Dorset’s back street boozers, the Skimmity Hitchers now roam the full girth of the West Country and beyond. Bringing their dry and fruity blend of Scrumpy & Western music to venues, festivals and fairs, these scrumpy swillin’ reprobates appeal to young and old, and everyone from folkies to cider punks, beardy badgers to shifty blaggers.

Peter is a singer/songwriter from Belfast playing in bands, song writing and recording for thirty years. He plays a mix of new and familiar music blending original songs with re-workings of popular songs and forgotten music in a unique finger picking style.
Utilising loop pedal and percussion he produces a fuller sound than you’d expect from a solo performer. A multi-instrumentalist, he has recorded seventeen albums
and dozens of singles of his own material with various bands and as a solo artist.”
