DESCRIPTION:Comrades! \nWe’re back in our happy place on Saturday 19th July when we return to Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival near Dorchester. \nThis unique event celebrates the birth of the Trade Union movement in this sleepy village\, with a packed programme of music\, speakers\, workshops\, comedy\, kids activities and more! \nWe’ve been fortunate to be part of this event for many years\, and after a couple of years out it’s proper exciting to be heading back. As ever we’ll be disturbing the peace with an hour’s set at Unite The Union’s marquee from 5-6pm. \nThe festival is a ticketed event but (ssshh!) our bit on the front lawn of the museum is free entry. We do encourage you to buy tickets for the wider event though! \nSun\, cider & socialism combine for a great afternoon amongst fine people. Come join us!

DESCRIPTION:Get on!! \nAfter a brief break to recharge our batteries (and our livers) we’re heading BACK to the crazy world of Dorchester Cider Festival on Saturday 16th August. \nThe scene of some epic Skimmity Hitchers gigs over the last decade\, Dorchester Cider Festival is an event like no other. \nThousands of people gather in the Victorian splendour of Borough Gardens for a whole day of cider-drinkin’ and live music on 2 stages. It’s free entry and attracts anyone and everyone in the locality. It’s basically Dorset’s version of Woodstock\, but with more nutters and bigger hangovers. \nYou can sample ciders from some of the best producers in the area\, including some of our favourites such as Cranborne Chase\, Dorset Nectar and (ahem) Dickie’s Dribble. \nBetter still\, the event raises thousands of pounds for local causes through donations and cider sales.
